I was planning on keeping this quiet until I'd actually done the design for it and had a few posts under my belt, but alas it's a good way to keep the interest in the project going, but SplashPanel marks my second blog. The content is VERY specific. It's going to be about Graphic Novels and every once in a while I might talk about other comic book specific things. I've been thinking about this for a while so it's nice to get going on it. Hopefully I'll have a design for it in the not too distant future. I know what it needs, it's just that it will take a good long while to get EVERYTHING on there. Definitely a work in progress but I've got very high hopes for it. So if sequential storytelling strikes your fancy mosey on down there.

    1. cool. I'm really curious to see what you come up with design wise. If you can do something that forces me to wonder, "is this a Khaled site?" that would be nifty.

    2. Expect a hell of a lot of colour. It won't look like a blog and more like a resource site to be honest, because that's effectively what I'm aiming for really.

    3. Brilliant! Just in time for my turning into a comicbook nerd.

Now if you could only add a throng of belgian comics to the menu...

    4. I'll definitely be looking into this one as this is right down my street. I'm interested in seeing what kind of articles and which direction you'll be taking with regards to content.

    5. What's good is that the content will effectively write itself. Hell I'm actually thinking of writing a review a day for a month solid just to go through and talk about the 500 plus graphic novels I have on my shelf, floor, desk, everywhere :)

    6. Excellent - bookmarked. Please begin with a year-long Alan Moore retrospective... ;)

    7. Matthew - It's funny you should mention that as I'm reading V for Vendetta, like one of the very few Alan Moore books I've not read. I've got a decent chunk of his work here in England (a lot of it is in Greece) but it will definitely be fun to get those reviewed.

    8. Cool - any plans to cover comic book movies as well? V for Vendetta must be nearing completion by now, even though Watchmen has been shelved.

    9. Only the good ones, like Road to Perdition, The Crow, Ghost World, Mystery Men, Sin City, The Mask...will probably try and steer away from Superhero fare, although there are exceptions (X2, Batman Begins etc).

    10. Going off-topic here, but just wanted to add my thoughts that Road to Perdition is one of the few graphic novels in which the movie is significantly better than the original source...
