Shawn sent me a book baton today. I like these 'batons'. This is only the second one I've done but it's good fun. Thing is though I generally write about the books that I've just read if I find that they deserve some mention etc, so some of the below is basically a recap in effect.

Books that mean a lot to meSee this on is a tough one, because I could go on and on, and that's without including all the great graphic novels I've read in my life, which I regard as some of the best things I've EVER read. So keeping it to just words, first of the list is

  1. His Dark Materials Trilogy. Superb writing, makes anything else pale in comparison.
  2. Anything by Ben Elton. Very funny guy, good sense of humor.
  3. Lord of the Rings.
  4. Earthsea Saga
  5. Tales of the Otori
  6. The Life of Pi
  7. The Odyssey

I'm sure I'm missing stuff on this list, but those are the ones that I can remember right now.
