Thanks. When I didn't have the the black around the top menu, it looked very out of place, so I just went for it. What I think would be another possibility for the top menu would be to place it below the header image, butted right up to the main body, but I wasn't up for trying it and screwing the whole thing up.

I think a dark grey would go good...the black seems to stark against the rest...otherwise, nice job!
